Clinical Fellow Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CFY) | Full-Time | Monterey, CA

Salinas, CA
Procare Schools - SLP Contract Today Apply

Immediate Start – June 6, 2026 | Full Supervision Provided | School-Based Setting

Launch Your Speech-Language Pathology Career with Confidence

ProCare Therapy is thrilled to offer an outstanding opportunity for a passionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist entering their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). This full-time position is based in the beautiful coastal city of Monterey, California and guarantees 37.5 hours per week from your start date — as soon as possible — through June 6, 2026. We also understand the need for flexibility and are happy to consider shorter-term contracts if that better suits your availability.

Why Choose This CFY Position?

Starting your clinical career in a supportive and well-structured environment can make all the difference. This role is designed to provide you with a strong foundation for your professional growth in a school-based setting. You will receive comprehensive and ongoing supervision by experienced, licensed SLPs dedicated to mentoring new clinicians. This guidance is included at no cost, ensuring you gain the confidence, skills, and knowledge necessary to excel during your CFY year and beyond.

The district where you will serve is renowned for being welcoming and nurturing — with a focus on collaboration, communication, and shared success. Here, you won’t just be “another clinician.” You’ll be an integral part of a team that supports you, values your input, and recognizes the importance of your role in student achievement.

Caseload and Work Environment

Your caseload will primarily consist of elementary school students (kindergarten through fifth grade) who present with mild to moderate speech and language impairments. The district thoughtfully caps caseloads between 35 and 40 students to ensure that you can provide high-quality, individualized therapy rather than feeling overwhelmed by volume. This manageable size allows you to build meaningful relationships with your students and their families, track progress closely, and see real, measurable outcomes from your intervention.

The district also provides all necessary therapy materials, assessment tools, and supplies to support your work from day one. No need to worry about sourcing resources or spending your own money. This professional environment allows you to focus fully on clinical excellence.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Clinical Fellow, your key duties will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students

  • Writing and implementing detailed Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to individual student needs

  • Delivering one-on-one and small group therapy sessions focusing on articulation, language development, fluency, voice, and social communication

  • Collecting and analyzing student data to monitor progress and modify goals accordingly

  • Collaborating regularly with teachers, special education teams, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each student’s education

  • Participating in IEP meetings and providing valuable insights on student performance and therapy goals

  • Maintaining meticulous, timely documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations

  • Advocating for student needs and promoting inclusion and access to effective communication across the school day

Ideal Candidate

We seek a Clinical Fellow who is eager to learn, open to mentorship, and committed to making a positive impact in the lives of students. Your qualifications include:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

  • Eligibility for or possession of a California Speech-Language Pathology license

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A passion for working in a school-based setting with children

  • Commitment to ethical practice and professional growth

  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment

Compensation & Benefits

ProCare Therapy offers a competitive salary with guaranteed full-time hours. Additional benefits include:

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance options

  • Employer-sponsored 401(k) retirement plan with matching contributions

  • Professional liability insurance

  • Paid continuing education opportunities and reimbursement for license fees

  • No-cost, quality supervision throughout your CFY year

  • Prompt and reliable weekly direct deposit

  • Potential relocation assistance for out-of-area candidates

  • Access to a dedicated support team focused on your success and satisfaction
