School Speech Language Pathologist - Salem, Virginia
Salem, VA
Step into a rewarding role supporting students’ academic and personal growth as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC or CF) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) within a local school community near Salem, VA. This contracted opportunity lets you choose your preferred schedule—full or part time—through the entire 2026-2027 school year, working onsite with students from PreK through 12th grade.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology for SLP applicants
- Valid or eligible Virginia SLP license
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is a plus
- New graduates and Clinical Fellows welcomed and encouraged
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
- SLPAs are also welcome to apply
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and assessments
- Develop and deliver tailored treatment plans, IEP goals, and therapy sessions
- Offer direct and consultative/indirect therapy services to diverse student populations
- Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, families, and other multidisciplinary team members
- Document services accurately while ensuring all state and district guidelines are followed
- Participate actively in IEP and student support meetings
