A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the current school year at an elementary school in Saint Petersburg, FL. This role is an excellent opportunity to work in a Title 1 school setting with a manageable caseload and a supportive environment focused on early childhood education and developmental needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students aged preschool through elementary school, including those enrolled in Autism and Exceptional Student Education programs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing student evaluation and intervention plans.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Florida state SLP license or eligibility to begin a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
- Experience working with a diverse student population, including students with autism and those in early intervention programs.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- No Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) accepted for this role.
Location: Elementary school setting in Saint Petersburg, FL.
