This opportunity is seeking two skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to provide essential support within K-12 educational settings in Cottage Grove, MN. These contract positions involve working directly onsite across two schools, serving diverse caseloads with students experiencing a range of speech and language needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services focused on general elementary school requirements such as language development and articulation.
- Manage caseloads of approximately 50 students per position, including children with developmental cognitive disabilities and autism spectrum disorders.
- Support center-based programs within each school tailored for students with specialized needs.
- Utilize the SpedForms IEP system to document student progress and plan therapies.
- Collaborate with educational and clinical staff to enhance treatment outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with state licensing and school district standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a valid Minnesota SLPA License.
- Prior experience in school-based settings and familiarity with pediatric speech therapy preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with children across a variety of developmental and cognitive profiles.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to student-centered care.
- Comfortable providing onsite services in a collaborative school environment.
Position Details:
- Position 1: Immediate start through April 8, 2026.
- Position 2: February 1 through May 1, with potential coverage required until the end of the school year.
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday during school hours.
