Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist Minnesota Contract Role
As a remote 1099 School Speech-Language Pathologist serving Minnesota school districts, you'll work collaboratively with educational teams to provide high-quality virtual services. This independent contractor role is ideal for SLPs who thrive in a flexible, self-directed environment while maintaining accountability to students' needs and compliance standards. You will support K–12 students across a variety of settings, adapting your interventions for the virtual environment. Candidates must be licensed in Minnesota and experienced in school-based practice. Strong communication, documentation, and tech skills are a must.
Duties:

Conduct virtual assessments using standardized tools adapted for teletherapy.

Develop IEP-aligned therapy plans tailored to individual student needs.

Deliver individual and group sessions via secure teletherapy platforms.

Attend virtual IEP meetings and contribute to team planning.

Monitor and document student progress using district-approved systems.

Communicate regularly with families and teachers about student performance.

Ensure FERPA and HIPAA compliance at all times.

Utilize engaging digital therapy materials to enhance student participation.

Provide consultation to educators on speech and language supports.

Maintain detailed service logs and progress reports.

Collaborate with district staff on student transitions and evaluations.

Follow state and district protocols for virtual service delivery.

Address cultural and linguistic diversity in therapy planning.

Participate in scheduled professional development sessions remotely.

· Must have a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
· Contractors must provide your their own liability insurance
· Comfortable being an independent contractor (1099)
