Your Impact as a School-Based SLP
As a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, you’ll work directly with students to assess, diagnose, and treat a range of communication challenges, from articulation and fluency issues to language processing and social communication. You’ll collaborate with IEP teams, contribute to evaluations, provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions, and guide parents and teachers in fostering communication skills in the classroom and at home. Your expertise helps bridge communication gaps and opens doors to academic and social success.
Required Qualifications – Florida
To be eligible for this role, candidates must meet the following Florida-specific requirements:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Active Florida SLP License through the Department of Health

DOE Certification may be required for public school placement

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows may also be considered

Compliance with all district-level background checks and fingerprinting
