Position Summary
As a school-based SLP in Minnesota, you will play an essential role in supporting students with speech and language needs by assessing communication challenges, delivering evidence-based therapy, and contributing to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Your work will directly impact student participation, social interaction, and academic achievement.
Current hiring efforts include school districts throughout Minneapolis, St. Paul, Rochester, Duluth, Bloomington, Mankato, and surrounding communities.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct speech-language assessments and contribute to special education eligibility decisions

Deliver individualized and small group therapy sessions based on IEP goals

Develop and implement treatment plans in accordance with Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) guidelines

Maintain accurate documentation of services and student progress

Collaborate with special education teams, general education staff, and parents

May provide supervision to SLPAs, per Minnesota licensure rules
Minimum Qualifications
-
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders

Valid Minnesota SLP license (or ability to obtain by the start of the school year)

Familiarity with IDEA and school-based service models
-
Prior experience working in K–12 educational environments or with pediatric populations is preferred

Must meet Minnesota background check and fingerprinting requirements for school personnel
