Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist in Sacramento, CA
A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed to provide support in a K-12 educational setting in Sacramento, CA, starting December 15th through the end of the school year. This leave replacement position offers an opportunity to work across both a high school and an elementary school, covering two separate leaves.
Ideal candidates will have experience in school-based speech therapy, with skills applicable to pediatric populations. Both SLPs with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and SLPAs with experience in healthcare or school environments will be considered, including combinations of SLP and SLPA qualifications to best meet student needs. Familiarity with evaluating, planning, and implementing speech and language interventions will be essential.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license or SLPA certification applicable to school settings
- Experience providing speech therapy services in a K-12 educational environment
- Ability to cover therapy caseloads in both elementary and high school settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, parents, and students
- Flexibility to adapt to diverse student needs and schedules
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy services to students exhibiting speech, language, and communication disorders
- Collaborate with educational teams to support student progress and comply with IDEA guidelines
- Document sessions and maintain accurate records in accordance with school policies
- Participate in team meetings and parent conferences as needed
