Speech Therapist in Citrus Heights, CA
A K-12 educational facility in Citrus Heights, CA is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract role during the current school year (CSY). This position involves working closely with students exhibiting speech and language disorders, providing evaluations, therapy, and collaborative care to support their academic and communicative success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed assessments of students with speech and language challenges
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs
- Deliver therapeutic interventions aimed at improving speech and communication skills
- Track and document progress consistently to inform ongoing treatment adjustments
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to foster comprehensive support
- Educate and involve families in therapy objectives and approaches
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Active state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure within the state
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric and school-aged populations highly desirable
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Additional Requirements:
- Must hold an active license approved by the State Board of Speech-Language Pathology
- Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology required
