A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to serve K-12 students in a school setting located in Alto, NM. This contract position during the current school year offers the chance to make a significant impact by working closely with children experiencing speech and language challenges.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing comprehensive evaluations to assess speech and language disorders
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Conducting therapy sessions aimed at improving communication skills and meeting specific goals
- Tracking and documenting progress accurately to inform treatment adjustments
- Collaborating effectively with educators, therapists, and other professionals to support multidisciplinary care
- Engaging families in the therapeutic process through education and communication
Ideal candidates will have:
- A Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure within New Mexico
- Preferably hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working with pediatric and/or school-aged populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
To qualify, applicants must possess an active license approved by the State Board of Speech-Language Pathology in New Mexico and have attained a Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology.
This role offers dedicated support from an experienced advisory team of SLPs located in the state, ensuring ongoing professional development and success in the role.
