SLP in Rozet, WY
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to provide specialized services within an Early Childhood School setting located in Rozet, WY. This contract role involves working approximately 20 hours per week delivering direct therapy services, with a total commitment of around 30 contracted hours weekly. The position focuses on supporting students aged 5 to 21 with diverse communication needs, including verbal and nonverbal students, as well as a student who is deaf and relies on sign language.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted speech-language therapy services tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate in the development and contribution of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Attend IEP meetings to support student progress and participate in planning
- Work closely with paraprofessionals to facilitate student communication and learning
- Adapt therapy approaches considering a variety of communication methods, including sign language
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience in school-based speech therapy services, preferably with early childhood and school-aged populations
- Ability to work effectively with both verbal and nonverbal students, including those who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes and special education compliance
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills within multidisciplinary teams
