Virtual School SLP for Michigan Speech-Only Caseloads
We’re seeking a Virtual School SLP for Speech-Only Caseloads to support Michigan students who receive speech as their only special education service. This 1099 contractor position offers flexibility and a focused caseload for clinicians who enjoy working with mild-to-moderate communication needs in general education settings.
Responsibilities:

Serve speech-only students in elementary and middle school settings.

Develop IEPs with goals focused on articulation, language, and fluency.

Deliver direct teletherapy services in compliance with IEP minutes.

Conduct initial and triennial evaluations as needed.
-
Maintain data tracking and session documentation.

Communicate regularly with classroom teachers.
-
Provide materials and strategies to support generalization in class.
-
Participate in MET and IEP meetings virtually.
-
Offer consultation to general educators on speech accommodations.
-
Ensure alignment with Michigan’s special education rules.

Submit reports and service logs per district guidelines.
-
Monitor exit criteria and dismissal readiness.
-
Deliver make-up sessions to ensure service compliance.
-
Use engaging digital tools tailored to mild-moderate needs.

Respect parent preferences and cultural communication styles.

VOCOVISION Requirements
· Must have a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
· Contractors must provide your their own liability insurance
· Comfortable being an independent contractor (1099)
· Home computer with high internet speed
· Passed basic tech screening
Interview Process:
- 10-15 minute screening call with a ProCare Therapy Recruiter
- 20-30 minute Virtual Interview with the School District
- Offer is typically within 24-48 hours of the virtual interview
