Speech Language Pathologist in Houston, TX
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Houston, TX, servicing a K-12 school environment. This contract role runs for the current school year, with an immediate start and assignment lasting through May 21, 2026. The caseload will be comprised of 7th through 12th grade students, with approximately 80 to 90 students requiring support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide therapy for speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with professional standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to educational planning.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state professional license in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working with school-aged children, ideally in a middle and high school setting.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development and disorders.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload of 80-90 students effectively.
Location: Houston, TX
Schedule: Full-Time, 35 hours per week, on-site only
