A Speech-Language Pathologist is needed to provide essential services during a maternity leave contract within a K-12 school district based in La Fayette, GA. This itinerant PreK position focuses on delivering direct speech therapy services across multiple daycare locations within the district. Location: Multiple daycare sites across the district, La Fayette, GA
Contract Duration: Approximately December 22, 2025 – April 6, 2026 (flexible for transition)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5–40 hours per week
Caseload: About 13 students with IEPs primarily, managing approximately 39 total students across 4–5 daycare settings
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to PreK children in an itinerant model, traveling between daycare centers
- Manage caseloads, maintain detailed documentation and service logs in compliance with educational standards
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other support staff to implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Participate in IEP meetings and support the developmental goals of students
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) SLP Educator Certificate
- Previous experience working in school settings, preferably with PreK populations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to travel between multiple sites within the district
