Speech Language Pathologist in Rome, GA
Rome, GA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for a leave replacement position in a K-12 school setting located in Rome, GA. This contract role, running approximately from December 22, 2025, through April 6, 2026 (with some flexibility for transition), involves providing specialized itinerant services to PreK students across multiple daycare locations within the district.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to a primary caseload of 13 students.
- Manage Individualized Education Program (IEP) casework for approximately 39 students in total.
- Travel to 4-5 daycare centers within the district to serve PreK children, ensuring all services are provided onsite.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement targeted therapy plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies.
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
- Valid GaPSC SLP Educator Certificate.
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with PreK-aged children, is strongly preferred.
- Ability to manage a caseload independently and provide itinerant services efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills and effective communication abilities.
Location: Rome, GA – services to be provided across multiple daycare sites within the district.
