We are looking for a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team and help students overcome communication barriers to thrive academically and socially.
Position Summary
This role calls for an empathetic, skilled, and proactive SLP who will provide individualized speech and language services to students from diverse backgrounds and abilities. You will work closely with educators, families, and specialists to design and implement evidence-based interventions tailored to each student’s unique needs.
Core Responsibilities

Administer comprehensive speech and language assessments using both standardized tests and dynamic assessment tools.

Deliver engaging and effective therapy sessions, both individual and group, designed to foster communication skills and confidence.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, review, and revise IEPs that promote meaningful student progress.

Actively participate in IEP meetings, contributing your expertise to advocate for appropriate services and supports.

Maintain detailed and compliant records, ensuring timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.

Provide consultative support to teachers and families, offering practical strategies to support communication in the classroom and at home.

Lead professional development opportunities and share best practices with school staff to enhance overall student communication outcomes.

Supervise Clinical Fellows, SLP Assistants, and interns as applicable, fostering growth and maintaining high standards of care.

Stay informed on advances in speech-language pathology, educational policies, and compliance regulations.
Qualifications
-
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field from an accredited institution

Valid California Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential or eligibility to obtain one

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows accepted with supervision available

Valid California license from the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board or eligibility

Experience in school-based or pediatric speech-language pathology preferred

Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Strong knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education laws

Ability to manage caseload and meet compliance deadlines efficiently
