Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Roanoke, VA (24031)

ProCare Therapy is seeking multiple Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to join a collaborative and student-focused school district in Roanoke, Virginia for the 2025–2026 school year. These positions offer a chance to make a significant impact on students’ communication and academic success while working in a supportive educational environment.
Position Overview
The selected SLPs will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students across various grade levels (K–12). Each position offers a manageable caseload and access to ongoing support from both the district’s special education team and ProCare Therapy’s clinical network. Final caseload assignments and school placements will be determined during the interview process based on experience and preference.

Primary Responsibilities
-
Conduct evaluations and diagnostic assessments for students with speech, language, and communication disorders.

Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals tailored to each student’s needs.

Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to support students’ academic and social success.

Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate communication strategies within the classroom setting.

Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff consultations.

Offer classroom-based interventions and professional input to educators to support language development.
Qualifications
-
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders

Active Virginia SLP license (or eligibility for licensure prior to start)

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred – CFs welcome to apply

Familiarity with IEP processes, documentation, and service delivery in a school setting preferred

Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills
