Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Oxford, AL
A position is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services in a K-12 educational setting located in Oxford, AL. This contract role is set for the current school year (CSY) and offers the opportunity to support students' communication and speech development across all grade levels.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized speech and language therapy programs for students K-12
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with educational standards
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide consultation and training to school staff regarding speech and language goals and strategies
- Monitor student performance and adjust therapy plans as needed to maximize outcomes
Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working in a school setting with children K-12
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders common in school-age children
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and school staff
- Valid state licensure as an SLP, or eligibility to obtain
- Commitment to supporting diverse student populations and promoting inclusive practices
