Speech Pathology - Riverview, FL
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at an elementary school serving a diverse student population, including Title 1 and specialized programs such as an Autism unit and Exceptional Student Education Pre-K. This contract position offers the chance to work with a small caseload of 40-50 students, providing targeted speech and language support within an inclusive educational environment.
Location: Bradenton, FL
Position Duration: ASAP through May 29, 2026
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students identified with communication disorders
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and families to support individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments, maintain progress documentation, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Support students in integrated and specialized Pre-K programs, including Autism and Exceptional Student Education settings
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet the needs of young learners in an elementary school setting
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology with a valid Florida SLP license
- Candidates completing Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are encouraged to apply; SLPA candidates are not being considered at this time
- Experience working in school or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse stakeholders
- Commitment to student-centered therapy and developing individualized goals
