A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at a middle school in the Riverview, FL area for the upcoming school year. This full-time, contract role runs from January through late May and focuses on serving approximately 60 students, including those in a self-contained/cluster program for Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities (EBD).
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech and language evaluations and assessments
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and support staff to enhance student communication skills
- Documenting progress and maintaining compliance with district and state requirements
- Supporting students ranging in age consistent with middle school populations
Required qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Florida SLP license
- Accepting candidates in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY); no Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) will be considered
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
This position is on-site only and offers the opportunity to work within an established district serving students with diverse communication needs. The caseload includes students within a specialized EBD program, providing a meaningful and impactful clinical experience.
