SLP in Riverside, CA
Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary students as a Speech Language Pathologist in a vibrant school community near Riverside, CA. This contract opportunity offers five full-time, in-person positions focused on maximizing student success. You'll collaborate with dedicated support staff, overseeing a manageable caseload of around 55 students at each site.
Your day will be structured with 8-hour shifts while school is in session, excluding a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, adding up to a maximum of 40 hours per week. You will play a vital part in the assessment process and ensure compliance with all requirements, while SLPAs manage most of the ongoing therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations as needed
- Complete detailed evaluation reports and maintain accurate records
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing to effective plans for student success
- Provide occasional direct therapy sessions when needed
- Collaborate with SLPAs and educational staff to deliver high-quality speech and language services
- Maintain communication with families and district staff to support student progress
Qualifications:
- Active Speech Language Pathologist license issued by the state of California
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
