Location:
- Calhoun, GA
- Itinerant position covering approximately 4-5 daycare centers across the district (Head Start South and North)
Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite speech-language therapy to a primary caseload of 13 PreK students, managing individual education plans (IEPs)
- Serve approximately 39 students in total within the designated daycare sites
- Travel between multiple locations within the district while maintaining consistent communication with educational staff and families
- Support early childhood development by customizing interventions to meet individual student needs
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) SLP Educator Certificate
- Prior experience working in school settings, preferably with PreK populations
- Strong caseload management skills with the ability to handle itinerant therapy services effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with staff and families
Contract Term:
- Approximately December 22, 2025, through April 6, 2026 (dates may vary slightly for transition)
Hours:
- Full-time schedule, averaging 37.5 to 40 hours per week
- Onsite service delivery required; remote work is not applicable
