Travel School Speech Pathology | Richton Park, Illinois
Provide expert speech-language therapy services three days per week in a dynamic school travel role based in Richton Park, IL. This part-time position focuses on supporting students ranging from age 2 to 22 with moderate to severe disabilities. Your work will contribute directly to enhancing communication skills and overall developmental progress through individualized therapy and collaborative care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver speech-language therapy targeting assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding issues, and delays in receptive and expressive language development
- Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing to inform therapeutic interventions
- Prepare clear, comprehensive reports reflecting student assessments and observations
- Develop and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives tailored to student needs
- Collaborate effectively with parents, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to discuss student progress and recommend support strategies
Qualifications:
- Hold or be eligible for an Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) license and a Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist, preferably in a school setting
- Strong communication skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Flexibility and adept problem-solving abilities to meet diverse student needs
