A dynamic opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K-12 students in a vibrant school setting located in Houston, TX. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY) and is designed for professionals passionate about making a meaningful impact on children's communication skills and academic performance.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to support student progress and communicate assessment results.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies and IDEA regulations.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations to support student success.
Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working as an SLP within school settings, preferably K-12.
- In-depth knowledge of speech and language disorders affecting school-age children.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a contract role and adapt to a dynamic educational environment.
