A healthcare facility located 30 miles west of Houston is seeking skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) to join their team for the current school year (CSY) on a contract basis. Multiple full-time positions are available, with part-time opportunities considered for candidates holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status. The immediate need is for service provision in elementary settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech-language assessments and therapy to students in an elementary school environment.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results.
- Collaborate with educational staff to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, evaluations, and student progress.
- Participate in team meetings related to student care and educational planning; note that roles focused solely on evaluation, supervision, or paperwork such as Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) documentation will not be considered.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC or currently in CFY status; or Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant license.
- Experience working in school settings preferred.
- Ability to provide direct therapy services to elementary-aged children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to delivering full therapy services rather than limited evaluation or paperwork roles.
