School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Richmond, California
Take on a meaningful career opportunity supporting elementary and middle school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time, onsite contract position spans two locations and offers the chance to make a significant impact in the educational development of young learners. The assignment starts as soon as possible and continues through June 10, 2027.
Your skills in assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders will be valued as you work directly with students and collaborate with education professionals. To excel in this role, candidates should have:
- A valid California SLP license (active and in good standing)
- SLP-CCC certification
- Previous experience in school settings with elementary and/or middle school caseloads
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Comfort providing onsite, in-person support (remote is not available)
- A collaborative mindset to work closely with teachers, staff, and families
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech and language assessments
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Providing direct therapy and support services tailored to student needs
- Maintaining accurate documentation and participating in IEP meetings
- Educating students, parents, and staff on effective strategies for communication support
