Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Redwood City, CA
Bring your expertise in speech-language pathology to an engaging contract position providing essential support to vibrant elementary school communities in the Redwood City, CA area. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with multiple teams, address varied support needs, and contribute to students’ growth and communication skills.
You’ll serve as additional SLP support at two elementary sites—Braly ES (mid to moderate needs) and Briarwood ES (general education/preschool). You’ll spend each day at a single location, with the flexibility to rotate between schools throughout the week. This arrangement allows you to work alongside the main SLPs, assisting with larger caseloads and conducting assessments for overloads, all while playing a valuable role in students’ educational journeys.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Active SLP-CCC certification or eligibility; California SLP licensure preferred, but not required by the district
- School-based speech-language pathology experience highly valued
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Comfortable working with diverse student populations, including general education, preschool, and mid/moderate needs
- Ability to complete student assessments and documentation with attention to detail
- Collaborative spirit and flexibility to support multiple campus environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services as an added SLP support
- Conduct assessments and assist with caseload overflow as needed
- Adapt services across general education and special education student groups
- Communicate effectively with existing SLPs, educators, and support staff
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
This full-time contract role runs Monday through Friday, 8am–3pm, beginning September 25, 2026, and continuing until the district completes its internal hiring process.
