Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing essential speech and language support across elementary and preschool settings in a vibrant area near Redwood City, CA. This dynamic, full-time position starts at the beginning of the school year and will continue until a permanent internal hire is made. As an added support SLP, you’ll collaborate with established teams at two school sites, delivering services that directly impact student success.

You will spend your days at either Braly Elementary (serving moderate to moderate/complex needs) or Briarwood Elementary (serving general education and preschool), offering specialized assistance to address caseload overload and conducting assessments as needed.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Speech-Language Pathologist certification strongly preferred (CCC designation preferred, but not required)
  • School-based SLP experience or familiarity with IEP processes and student services
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to different school environments
  • Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
  • Flexibility to alternate between sites as needed; reliable transportation required
  • Collaborative, professional approach with educators, families, and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language services to students, focusing on those identified with moderate to complex needs
  • Provide crucial support to existing SLPs, helping manage large caseloads
  • Conduct student assessments and contribute to IEP planning, as appropriate
  • Communicate progress and recommendations with staff and parents
  • Travel between assigned school sites, typically spending each day at a different location
  • Maintain compliance with district and state requirements

Work hours are 8:00am–3:00pm, Monday through Friday, following the school day schedule.
