Job Description:
Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team for the 2025 Spring semester. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students of various ages and abilities, providing speech and language services, and collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic and social success. As an SLP, you will be instrumental in helping students overcome communication challenges and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff to develop and implement strategies that support students' communication skills in the classroom.
- Monitor and document students' progress towards speech and language goals, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with parents/guardians to discuss students' progress, goals, and strategies for improvement.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings, providing valuable insights and recommendations for services.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with district policies and state regulations.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Illinois.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Experience working with school-age children (pre-K through 12th grade) is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of federal and state laws related to speech and language services in schools (IDEA, IEP processes).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
- Ability to manage caseloads and meet deadlines.
