Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Quincy, MA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available in a public school district near Quincy, MA. This contract position supports approximately 45-50 middle school students through speech therapy and evaluations, working an itinerant caseload. The district offers paid indirect hours for administrative tasks and team meetings.
Location: Quincy, MA area
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM (32.5 hours/week)
Contract Duration: ASAP through end of school year
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts SLP license and DESE certification required
- SLP candidates should have relevant school-based experience, including caseload management
- SLPA candidates must have appropriate certification and understand that supervision will not be provided by the district, so candidates should be prepared to work under an external SLP supervisor
- Experience conducting therapy and evaluations within a public school setting preferred
- Comfortable working in an itinerant role across multiple school locations
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy and conduct evaluations for a middle school caseload
- Maintain compliance with IEP goals and district procedures using the provided IEP system
- Collaborate with school teams and participate in meetings
- Utilize indirect time effectively for documentation and planning
- Adapt therapy techniques and materials to meet diverse student needs
