Speech Pathology - Billerica, MA
This position offers a rewarding opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide essential support within an elementary school preschool program located in Billerica, MA. The role focuses on working with a diverse caseload of students with moderate to severe disabilities, including AAC users, spread throughout the school year. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to preschool-aged children with complex communication needs.
- Collaborate closely with educators and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Implement and support AAC systems tailored to student needs.
- Manage a growing caseload that starts lighter and may reach approximately 30 students by year-end.
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports aligned with district standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Massachusetts Speech-Language Pathologist certification required.
- Experience working with AAC and students with moderate to severe disabilities.
- Open to SLP Candidates in their Clinical Fellowship year.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work within a multidisciplinary team.
Schedule and Location:
- Located in Billerica, MA within one preschool building.
- Approximately 24 hours per week, typically 6 hours per day for 4 days a week; potential for up to 30 hours if spread over 5 days.
- Contract through December 23, 2025, with possible extension through June 16, 2026.
