Pediatric School Speech Therapist - Prince George, Virginia

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at a K-12 school in Prince George, VA, for the current school year. This onsite role requires providing comprehensive speech and language services to students across all grade levels. The contract begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year, replacing virtual providers to ensure hands-on, in-person support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language needs.
- Provide direct therapy to students with a variety of communication disorders, implementing best practices tailored to individual needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and achieve communication goals.
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and district requirements.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training to remain current with evidence-based practices.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current state licensure and certification as an SLP.
- Experience providing speech-language services in a K-12 school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and staff.
- Familiarity with school-based evaluation and therapy techniques.
- Ability to work onsite daily in the Prince George, VA area.
