Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – School-Based (Portland, OR)
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time contract role with school districts in the Portland, OR area. This assignment is scheduled for November through May, providing critical support for students during the school year.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Applicants must meet all requirements set by the Oregon Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (BSPA) and local school district standards, including:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

Current Oregon SLP license issued by the Oregon BSPA
-
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) may be considered if applicable
-
Current authorization from the Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) to work in school settings (if required by the district)

Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to special education and related services (IDEA, Section 504, ADA)
-
Strong collaboration and communication skills with staff, students, and families
-
Successful completion of background checks and district onboarding requirements
Typical Responsibilities:

Evaluate and assess students’ speech, language, and communication skills
-
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for eligible students
-
Provide direct therapy services in individual and group settings
-
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers to support student learning
-
Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports as required
-
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
-
Support students in developing functional communication skills that promote academic and social success
