Speech Language Pathologist in Portage, IN
Step into a critical role supporting students’ communication development in thriving educational settings near Portage, IN! We are seeking three dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs-CCC preferred) for contract positions for the 2026/2027 school year. These opportunities offer engaging caseloads, flexible scheduling, and a strong collaborative environment.
Current needs include: • Portage area: Serve Fegley Intermediate School & Crisman Elementary, working with approximately 100 students. SLA support is open for discussion to optimize your impact. • Porter area: Choose between two elementary options. Focus on developmental preschool–1st grade with a caseload of about 70–80 students, or split time between elementary/middle grades at nearby sites, serving around 75 learners.
Ideal candidates bring: • Valid SLP state licensure, ASHA CCC strongly preferred • Experience providing services in a school setting • Confidence managing varied caseloads (preschool through middle grades) • Excellence in evaluation, IEP development, and goal setting • Strong collaborative and communication skills • Willingness to work a flexible 7-hour daily schedule with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
Key responsibilities: • Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy to students • Conduct assessments and create tailored treatment plans • Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff for student success • Maintain accurate records in line with school and state guidelines • Participate actively in IEP meetings and team consultations
