Travel School Speech and Language Pathologist | Port Saint Lucie, Florida
A dynamic Speech-Language Pathology opportunity is available in Southeast Florida, serving students in Port Saint Lucie and Ft. Pierce. This travel assignment offers both full-time and part-time roles, focusing on providing critical evaluation support to help a school district catch up on assessments, particularly for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations, with an emphasis on Autism evaluations
- Manage caseloads effectively across one or two school locations
- Collaborate with onsite SLPs and SLP Assistants, including supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) cluster sites
- Document and report findings to contribute to individualized student education plans
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) licensure required
- Experience conducting evaluations for Autism is essential
- Completion of fingerprinting requirements, with potential use of Department of Health records
- Ability to work onsite in designated schools, adhering to scheduled days and hours
Locations and Schedules:
- Oak Hammock K-8 in Port Saint Lucie, FL: 2 days per week onsite
- CA Moore K-7 and FK Sweet Elementary in Ft. Pierce, FL: Full-time across both schools or part-time split schedule (CA Moore without self-contained units; FK Sweet includes 1 ASD unit)
