A full-time speech-language pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2025-2026 school year, serving a K-8 student population in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. This contract role involves working on-site with a diverse caseload primarily consisting of pre-kindergarten through fifth graders, with some service extending to off-site Head Start programs. Part-time opportunities are also available across several nearby schools, which may be combined to fulfill a full-time workload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services to students from Pre-K through 8th grade, focusing on assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring.
- Collaborate with educators and related service providers to support individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Manage caseload responsibilities in alignment with assigned schools, which may include elementary and middle school settings.
- Participate in student evaluations, documentation, and team meetings to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
- Supervise Clinical Fellows as applicable, offering guidance and support in compliance with licensure requirements.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Florida state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working in school settings serving children with varied speech and language needs.
- Ability to work full-time (37.5 hours per week) with flexibility for part-time roles if preferred.
- Willingness to provide on-site services; remote or hybrid arrangements are not available.
- Open to supervision of Clinical Fellows when applicable.
Location and Schedule:
- Primary assignment at a K-8 school in Port Saint Lucie, FL.
- Other part-time placements available at nearby elementary and middle schools in Port Saint Lucie and Fort Pierce.
- Employment term aligns with the 2025-2026 school calendar, starting as soon as possible and concluding by June 2, 2026.
