School-Based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Port Saint Lucie, FL

Blazer Jobs is seeking a passionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a supportive school district team in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. This full-time role is designed for professionals eager to make a difference in students’ communication, academic, and social success. Both local and travel candidates are welcome to apply.

Compensation Packages

We provide separate pay structures for local professionals and travel contractors:

Local Candidates (Port Saint Lucie area)

  • Pay Range: $40 – $45 per hour

  • Full-time schedule aligned with the school calendar

  • Weekly pay via direct deposit

Travel Candidates (open to relocation for the assignment)

  • Equivalent Pay Range: $45 – $52 per hour

  • Weekly Take Home: $1,378 – $1,537

  • Compensation includes a lower taxable base with tax-free housing and meal stipends

  • Travel and relocation assistance included

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students across K–12

  • Conduct evaluations and contribute to IEP development

  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student goals

  • Ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and Florida state guidelines

  • Document services and progress accurately and in a timely manner

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology

  • Active Florida SLP license (or eligibility before start date)

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; CFs considered

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to pass required district background screenings
