About the Speech-Language Pathologist Role

In this role, you will assess and treat students with speech and language disorders that impact academic performance. You will collaborate with educators and families to develop IEP goals and implement therapy plans. Responsibilities include evaluations, direct therapy services, progress monitoring, and documentation. This position supports functional communication within educational settings.

Requirements for the Role

Candidates must meet Washington education, certification, and licensure requirements, including:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

  • Active Washington State Department of Health Speech-Language Pathology license

  • Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification through the Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI)

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred

  • Experience in school-based settings preferred

  • Completion of Washington school district background check requirements
