About the Opportunity
Are you a dynamic and dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) ready to make a significant impact on elementary students? We are seeking a full-time SLPA for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year to serve two vibrant elementary schools in the Orford, New Hampshire area. This unique position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively across two supportive school communities, which are conveniently located approximately 20 minutes apart.
You will manage a manageable caseload of approximately 25-30 elementary students, working directly under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This role is perfect for an SLPA who enjoys a varied routine, values in-person interaction, and is committed to fostering communication growth in young learners.
Key Responsibilities

Provide direct speech and language therapy services to elementary students, implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP.

Work across two elementary school sites within the Orford area, ensuring continuity of care and services.

Assist the supervising SLP with screenings, data collection, and documentation of student progress.

Prepare and organize therapy materials, maintaining an engaging and effective therapy environment.

Collaborate effectively with the supervising SLP, teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student communication goals within the educational setting.

Adhere strictly to the ethical guidelines and scope of practice for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants in both New Hampshire and Vermont.
Qualifications

Must hold active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) certification/licensure in the state of New Hampshire is REQUIRED.

Ability to acquire and maintain a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license/certification in the state of Vermont is REQUIRED. (Guidance on dual licensure/certification can be provided).

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in an SLPA program or equivalent coursework as required by state regulations.

Prior experience working with elementary-aged children in a school setting is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of communication development and intervention strategies for elementary students.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate within a team.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a caseload across multiple locations.

Reliable transportation for travel between school sites.

A genuine commitment to fostering inclusive educational environments and empowering students to reach their full communication potential.
