School Speech and Language Pathologist | Plano, Texas
This opportunity is ideal for licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) seeking to provide full-time or part-time services in educational settings. Two positions are available for onsite roles supporting middle and high school student populations in the Plano metro area.
Locations and Caseloads:
- One position supports approximately 65 students at a local middle school.
- The second position serves about 85 students at a high school and its associated freshman campus.
Candidates should hold an active state license and preferably possess their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Candidates currently in their Clinical Fellowship (CF) year are welcome, provided they have supervision arranged prior to starting, as district supervision cannot be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and deliver individualized therapy to students with communication disorders.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ academic success and communication development.
- Document and maintain all required records in compliance with district and state regulations.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional recommendations.
- Tailor intervention approaches to meet the diverse needs of students ranging from middle to high school levels.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Preferably holds the CCC credential; CF candidates considered with supervision planning.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience providing speech and language services in school settings highly regarded.
