Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist in Plainfield, NJ
An exciting opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide contract services within a school setting, supporting young learners in the Plainfield, NJ area. This position is ideal for licensed SLPs with experience in school-based and pediatric speech therapy, including those completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
Position Details:
- Contract dates: January 5, 2026, through June 18, 2026
- Work schedule: 35 hours per week
- Location: Pre-K program at Mt. View Elementary School
- Caseload: Approximately 13 students aged 2-4 years
Qualifications:
- Valid certification in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC preferred)
- Experience in pediatric speech therapy and school environments
- Eligible candidates in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are welcome
- Strong skills in assessment, individualized treatment planning, and therapy implementation
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations for pre-kindergarten students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans targeting communication goals
- Document progress and maintain timely records in compliance with school policies
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to support student success
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet the developmental needs of young children
