A dynamic opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support an elementary school setting in Joliet, IL. This contract position spans the current school year and offers flexibility for full or part-time engagement. The ideal candidate will work primarily with early childhood or elementary students, managing a caseload that does not exceed 60 to ensure quality care and effective support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language services to students, addressing a range of communication disorders in an educational setting.
- Potentially support a Response to Intervention (RTI) program through virtual sessions, with the majority of caseload served remotely in a separate building.
- Supervise SLPA services as needed, fostering a collaborative and professional environment.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and conduct ongoing assessments to track student progress.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student success.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an SLP (including CCC or Clinical Fellowship Year candidates) or as an SLPA with relevant school or healthcare experience.
- Experience working in early childhood or elementary school environments preferred.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively, maintaining workload at manageable levels.
- Comfort with teletherapy platforms and virtual service delivery.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
