Speech Pathology - Joliet, IL
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2025-2026 school year, located in Joliet, IL, serving multiple schools within the surrounding area. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with students primarily on the autism spectrum across elementary and junior high levels.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing specialized speech-language therapy to a caseload of approximately 35 students.
- Collaborating with educators and support staff across three schools (one in Morris and two in Minooka).
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting therapy strategies accordingly.
- Participating in team meetings and maintaining thorough documentation in compliance with school guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Previous school-based experience essential.
- Strong understanding of speech and language disorders common in students on the autism spectrum.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage caseloads effectively and work across multiple school sites.
Position Details:
- Contract term: Immediate start through May 2026.
- Full-time, with weekly hours ranging from 32.5 to 37.5.
- Elementary to junior high-aged students served.
