A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2025–2026 school year within a K-12 public school setting located in Shorewood, IL. This opportunity involves working with a diverse student population ranging from elementary through high school, including transitional age students. The position provides the chance to support students’ speech and language needs through direct therapy, evaluations, and active participation in Individualized Education Program (IEP) development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services tailored to school-aged students
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine student needs
- Collaborate in the development and implementation of IEPs
- Manage caseload efficiently while providing therapy at one to two school sites
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
Qualifications:
- Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school-based setting preferred
- Ability to conduct assessments and provide individualized therapy plans
- Strong communication and collaborative skills with students, parents, and school staff
- Completion of fingerprinting and any other district-required background checks
Location & Schedule:
- Shorewood, Illinois
- Full-time schedule, approximately 35 to 37.5 hours per week during the school year
- Contract duration aligned with the 2025–2026 school year
