School-Based SLP | Naperville, Illinois
A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) professional to support elementary-aged students in an educational setting located in Naperville, IL. This position focuses on helping students develop essential skills in order to fully participate in classroom activities alongside their peers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate student participation in activities involving fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care abilities
- Modify tasks or environments to accommodate individual student needs
- Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing as appropriate
- Prepare clear, comprehensive, and insightful reports based on assessments and observations
- Develop and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives and accommodations
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and team members regarding student progress and support strategies
Qualifications:
- Must hold or be eligible for an Illinois state license for Speech-Language Pathology
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Flexibility and problem-solving skills to adapt to student needs and changing situations
Position Details:
- Full-time (37.5 hours/week); part-time consideration available
- Orientation dates: August 4 and 5, 2025
- First student day: August 18, 2025
- Contract end date: May 29, 2026
