Travel School Speech Therapist | Placerville, California
This opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) serving multiple locations within El Dorado County, California, for the remainder of the school year. The position offers a dynamic setting with potential placements from PreK to adult transition programs, covering a broad geographic area including El Dorado Hills, Camino, and surrounding communities.
Responsibilities include providing speech and language services to students with mild to moderate caseloads, with assignments possibly changing throughout the semester. Candidates should be comfortable with an itinerant schedule, traveling between multiple sites as needed. Onsite presence is mandatory, as remote or virtual options are not accepted. Supervision of Clinical Fellows (CFs) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) may be required, with the supervisor providing direct onsite support.
Preferred qualifications:
- Valid California SLP license
- Experience working in California schools
- Familiarity with the Statewide Special Education Information System (SEIS)
- Ability to manage mild to moderate caseloads across diverse age groups
- Willingness to travel within El Dorado County and accommodate changing assignments
This role provides an excellent travel opportunity, with easy access to Lake Tahoe approximately 1.5 hours east and Sacramento about 45 minutes west. Candidates should be prepared for flexible itinerant work throughout the county.
