School Speech Pathology | Citrus Heights, California
A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) within multiple school locations across El Dorado County, California. This opportunity involves serving a diverse caseload ranging from PreK to adult transition programs, with the district covering a broad area including El Dorado Hills to Camino. Candidates should be prepared for itinerant work, as travel between sites will be required throughout the semester.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services to students with mild to moderate communication disorders; some severe caseloads may be included
- Deliver direct therapy and assessments consistent with CA Schools guidelines and SEIS protocols
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student progress across settings
- Support and supervise Clinical Fellows (CFs) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) onsite as required
- Manage variable caseload sizes depending on specific assignments and locations
- Adapt to changing assignments and maintain flexibility in scheduling and travel
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology license required; no additional district-specific licenses necessary
- Preferred candidate experience includes familiarity with CA school systems and Special Education Information System (SEIS)
- Willingness and availability to travel within the county, including to sites up to 90 minutes away
- Experience working with diverse student populations across developmental stages is a strong asset
Location: Multiple school sites within El Dorado County, CA (notably El Dorado Hills to Camino)
