This assignment seeks a qualified Speech Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive support to K-2 students with mild to moderate disabilities in an elementary school setting located in Rochester, NY. This is a full-time, onsite position with a contract lasting through the 2025-2026 school year. The role begins as soon as possible and continues through February 6, 2026, with a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech and language therapy services to early elementary students
- Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and staff to support student communication needs
- Conducting assessments and monitoring progress for students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with school policies and state regulations
Qualifications for this role require:
- Valid New York State Speech Language Pathologist license
- Active Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) certification
- Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school or healthcare settings
- Familiarity with teletherapy services is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school personnel
