A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at a school location in Philadelphia, PA, with a contract extending from the beginning of March through the end of the school year. This role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in speech and language services within a dynamic educational environment, supporting students’ communication development and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, voice, and fluency evaluations.
- Screen students for possible communication disorders and interpret testing results.
- Write clear, detailed evaluation reports to determine student eligibility for services.
- Deliver individual and group therapy targeting goals such as articulation, language, social communication, AAC use, and fluency.
- Adjust treatment plans based on student progress to ensure effective therapy.
- Develop IEP goals and present levels, attend IEP and eligibility meetings.
- Track student progress, collect relevant data, and maintain Medicaid billing and compliance documentation as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, psychologists, administrators, and parents/guardians to provide comprehensive support.
- Offer consultation, prevention, and RTI/MTSS support, including staff training on communication strategies and behavior plans related to communication.
- Adhere to all state and federal special education regulations, manage caseloads efficiently, and maintain therapy materials and testing protocols.
