Requirements for School-Based SLP Roles in Pennsylvania

To qualify for an SLP position in Philadelphia, you must:

  • Hold a valid Pennsylvania SLP license

  • Possess a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

  • Have (or be eligible for) a PA Department of Education certification for school-based practice

  • Hold ASHA CCCs (or be completing CFY, depending on district needs)

  • Pass a background check and TB test

  • Be authorized to work in the United States
